I know you're Jewish...

or maybe you aren't but, either way, could you refrain from using Hebrew words in your widely-distributed article. I have some idea of what "mensch" means, but I am not exactly sure. What I do know is that now I hate you and I just quit reading your article to type this post.

You could always ask you incredibly devout, orthodox office mate. I'm sure she could tell you. I bet she kisses that little thing by the door to her front door every day (mezuzzah I think is the word but I could be 100% wrong about that, but my orthodox friend Wendy had one and she didn't kiss it directly, but kissed her fingers and touched it to the little thing).

I believe that is the correct spelling and we have them on every doorway in our office.

I don't mean to rag on the nice HR person (well, maybe I do) but my first day here was Passover, so she was explaining why there were certain food items that were put away that are normally available because of the owners. So, I pointed out that I noticed all the mezzuzahs on the doors and she never even noticed them until I said something (yes, I am Jewish, but so not religious). How non observant can you be? Of course my first question was whether we close early on Fridays. Yeah, right.
