What am I? An encyclopedia of crap?

When I answer the phone, "Good afternoon [insert employer here] benefits office this is Joanne how can I help you?" Why on earth would you ask about the intranet and how to log into it. That's what helpdesk is for. I've clearly identified myself as NOT being of the helpdesk.

Ah, I see the source of the trouble. You are assuming they actually hear/care about what you say when you answer the phone.

I like your reaction to this problem better than mine.

I have received so many of these random queries that I've become an encyclopedia of crap.

I should've just peeved about it instead.

But, since I'm already an Encyclopedia of Crap™, forward those calls to me. Maybe I already know how to log on to the intranet.

I actually did try to answer her question about logging onto the intranet. But then realized I had no idea why she couldn't log on. And my description of what she should be doing wasn't really helping her anyway... because I am NOT a techie. :)
