On the Hook
Question: If someone asked you, "Did they hook up?" about two people, what would you think the person was asking you?
Answer:
A- Did they have sex?
B- Did they make out?
C- Did one ask the other for a date?
D- Something else?
Please comment with your answer, as I encountered a discrepancy in the definition of that phrase this morning.

Thanks to the power of Dawson's Creek, Sex in the City, Law & Order, and movies like Who's got the hook up, I would have to say A. Did they have sex?
I'm with Joanne: Sex.
I have always used to term to mean B and/or C. I guess my definitions never progressed beyond high school.
Perhaps BigPimpin can take a stab at this particular question...
B.
It depends on the situation. If they meet at a bar or some other kind of get together, then hook up is definitely sex, especially if they left together. If one is talking about liking the other but they haven't actually gone out or anything, then hooking up can just mean that they finally "linked up"...but in most cases, I would have to go with it meaning sex....sorry PM
